Quality concerns in school education are among the priorities of CBSE, for that a training unit has been set up by the Central Board of School Education. Being a part of this unit, the school Principal, Dr. Vandna Shahi has been acting as CBSE Resource Person (COE Chandigarh) and conducting various virtual sessions.

The school Principal has been honored in the March issue of prestigious Brainfeed magazine, spotlighting women leaders in education. Her article eloquently emphasizes that leadership is the thread weaving together the hearts, minds, and dreams of all involved, fostering a harmonious and empowering educational environment.

The top ranked magazine of educators 'Mentor' has featured the School and the School Principal as its cover story.The article titled ‘Curriculum: The Soulful Symphony at the Heart of Schooling,’ encapsulates the essence of the school's mission and the innovative approaches we embrace to provide a holistic education.

School Principal attended the 17th Edition of The Education Summit held by Time2Grow media. She spoke to The Edu Bulletin and shared her thoughts about how to inculcate critical and creative thinking among students. She enunciated that it is the need of the hour that the teaching community must keep themselves upskilled to implement new or modified methods of a teaching-learning process to suit the requirements of the day. She also shared the steps her institution is taking in developing the skills of teachers and how a Principal should lead a school.

Atal Bihari Vajpayee foundation hosted a webinar on 'Building Entrepreneurial Skills in Students' where Dr Vandna Shahi, school Principal was invited as keynote speaker. The session aimed at motivating the youngsters to grow with an enterprising mindset. It highlighted the relevance of these skills in the present scenario to enable the young learners to find new opportunities and overcome  various barriers to achieve success.

School Principal Dr. Vandna Shahi shared her views as keynote speaker for Educational Conference on Disruption in Education: A Peep into the Future organised by ICAE  at  Amritsar.The session highlighted the requisite to create enlightened, productive and future ready children. Dr. Shahi also emphasized on the integration of technology in education to empower young learners to compete with the world beyond. Overall, the main objective of the session was to enlighten the attendees on the need to nurture the inherent potential & talent of each child, thus creating lifelong learners.

A riveting session with the theme ‘Dilemma of Learning Loss and Academic Fatigue in Implementing NEP 2020’ was led by prominent educator and MD of LXL Ideas- Syed Sultan Ahmed and  Dr. Vandna Shahi, School Principal. The Principals and Directors from various schools provided solutions on the pressing problems of present day educators.

The School Principal got an opportunity to be one of the key speakers at Virtual Indo - Finnish Education Conference, an International Event - Success in nurturing all-round development of kids during lockdown. She apprised the attendees about the positive impact of pandemic created by exploring technology innovatively. She highlighted the need to adopt Story Telling in teaching pedagogy for every subject as it stimulates the minds of young children effectively. In order to boost mental and emotional health of kids, the efficacy of counselling sessions with parents and students was brought into the limelight.

International Centre for Advancement of Education invited School Principal Dr. Vandna Shahi  as keynote speaker for Educational Conference on Disruption in Education: A Peep into the Future. She emphasized that the world is currently moving at lightning speed that requires curious flexible and proactive generation and to achieve this education needs to be characterized by three ideas that is hyperspace ,hypermedia and hyperreality.The session aimed to incubate and evolve mindset to future proof learning that would help students develop meaningful competencies critical for success in an unpredictable world.

An achievement in itself, a feather in the cap and something to be proud about!! The School Principal, Dr. Vandna Shahi, has been selected as CBSE Resource Person for Pedagogical Leadership Training Programme for Principals. Training programs for school leaders is a collaborative effort of CBSE and National Institute for Educational Planning and Administration. It is an endeavor to prepare CBSE school principals to traverse the path from being just an administrator to a self aware individual who understands, acts and reflects on the processes for evolving as a Pedagogical Leader.

Keeping this prime notion in view, a virtual webinar for school teachers was conducted on the topic 'Magic of Gratitude'  by District Training Coordinator, Dr. Vandna Shahi. She explained the meaning of word 'gratitude' as the quality of being thankful. Further she told about its concept and how to practice it to remain happy and contented. Sharing the 'Magic Formula', she suggested attendees to deliberately think and say the magic word 'Thank You' and feel the abundance they receive. The session ended with a hope that this magic of gratitude opens up a new world of happiness for all.

The Principal highlighted that the New National Education Policy aims for promotion of Indian languages through regular use, preparation of pedagogical material, training of teachers, adoption of mother tongue as medium of instructions, etc.

The facilitator, Dr. Vandna Shahi, conducted a magical session on 'Magic of Gratitude' for CBSE school teachers. She defined the word Gratitude as ' Thankfulness' and emphasized that a simple 'Thank You' has magical qualities. It warms the heart and creates a moment of connection and peace between two people. This online training session made all the participants more optimistic and added value to their traits.

A session on the topic 'Teaching in 21st Century' was conducted by Dr. Vandna Shahi. In this session, she not only mentioned the characteristics of a 21st century teacher but also suggested tools and strategies required to teach Generation Z learners. Interdisciplinary approach and activities related to it were also discussed. As resource person, she shared the Tips for handling virtual classes and role of in service training was also highlighted. Overall, it was an insightful sessions for the attendees.
