A few students attended the Peace Fest at KNPS, Phagwara where they witnessed excellent fusion of visual and performing arts. KNPS demonstrated their commitment to realisation of Sustainable Development Goal 16, which stands for the promotion of justice, peace, and robust institutions. The trip was immensely enriching for the students as it helped them to feel united and be in harmony. It also motivated them to work for a better, and more peaceful society.
At BCM school , we believe in the power of every voice and the importance of active citizenship. That's why students took initiative to promote voting rights through "nukkad natak." Students with their powerful performances aimed at educating and inspiring people to exercise their right to vote. They highlighted the significance of participation in democratic processes and the impact each vote can make.
To pay tribute to Dr BR Ambedkar' benefactions, Ambedkar Jayanti was celebrated with full zeal . in th school premises, an Inter House Display board decoration competition was conducted to commemorate his teachings and works.
Students portrayed Ambedkar’s efforts to eradicate social evils like untouchability and caste restrictions in a very subtle and nuanced manner. 1st position was bagged by Gulmohar house .2nd position holder was Kohinoor house. Shalimar and Pukhraj house were placed on 3rd position.
The School Principal, Dr Vandna Shahi apprised the students about the procurements and interesting facts of Dr. Ambedkar and motivated them to act in accordance with Babasaheb’s footsteps and inculcate his values in their lives to achieve their aim and uplift the society.
The school demonstrated its dedication to raising awareness of mental health issues among teenagers by running a compelling campaign at Government School Phullawal. This programme was launched under the prestigious RiseUp4Peace banner of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC).
